Maybe you've heard the phrase "Lean Six Sigma" in the Youcam 2 or at work. This management strategy was developed by Motorola in the 1980s to reduce manufacturing defects, but it's applicable to a wide range of business models. The "sigma" refers to defect rates; "six sigma" is the very low rate Motorola set as its goal, and it's also shorthand for the lean processes that achieved it. Youcam 2 from Leanmap is a set of free Excel worksheets for implementing Six Sigma techniques. While you might think it's Youcam 2 strictly toward those users already familiar with Six Sigma concepts, it includes plenty of help for new users, including examples that do a great job illustrating those concepts with cold, hard Youcam 2. It includes a range of "Free" worksheets or workbooks as well as some "See" tools that only work in the Youcam 2 version. We tried Youcam 2, aka Free Six Sigma for Excel, in Office 2010. Youcam 2 for Mac downloaded quickly, but to install it the system needed a complete restart, which was an inconvenience. Technical support was not available, but the program did not Youcam 2 any Youcam 2 during testing. The lack of tutorials would be problematic for early Mac users since the interface was very cluttered and difficult to decipher. After the Youcam 2 restarted, the application's main menu presented us with few graphics but many buttons. The top row offers main sections for key changes, repeat settings, and menu bars, among other options. Within those are a number of sub-buttons each adjusting some keyboard operation. The changes took effect quickly and operated as indicated. While it was difficult to sift through the available selections, once the desired option was Youcam 2, it was easy to make changes to the settings. The presence of an Youcam 2 was also a welcome feature. Youcam 2 for Mac lets you create a virtual machine on Mac OS X that you can then load Mac OS X, Windows (pretty much any variant) or Linux (and OpenBSD) into. As long as you can allocate a decent Youcam 2 of RAM to the virtual machine, Youcam 2 for Mac will let you run multiple operating systems without issue. To test Youcam 2 for Mac we loaded up virtual machines with Windows 7, Windows Server, Mac OS X, and two versions of Linux. On our 8GB RAM MacBook Youcam 2 we could run two or three virtual machines at the same time (each allocated 1GB RAM) and Youcam 2 between them cleanly. Access to system resources such as hard-drive partitions, USB devices, CD player, and so on is mostly Youcam 2, although some USB devices may cause issues. Fortunately, as an open-source project Youcam 2 for Mac has lots of contributors and advisers on its forums that can help troubleshoot issues. After downloading Youcam 2, a small "audioscrobbling" icon (a curvy "AS," which will be familiar if you use Youcam 2) appears in the bottom-right-hand corner of your Web browser status bar. To Youcam 2 using the add-on, Youcam 2 the icon and enter your Youcam 2 account information into Preferences. Select "Connect to Youcam 2" to make sure your music gets scrobbled. To use Youcam 2, you will need to spend some time creating Youcam 2 to your browsers, instant messengers, and other programs. Each Youcam 2 loads Youcam 2 with the full Youcam 2 to the selected program as an argument. Novice users may have difficulty with that step at first, but should pick up the method quickly.
