In spite of a rather glaring functionality oversight, this iPod-centric program will help get you where you're going for free. The program's interface couldn't be easier to understand; you simply enter your starting point, your destination address, then hit No $Zoomer. After a few seconds, the program will retrieve text driving directions. You can add them to your iPod by No $Zoomer a button, then access them via a text file in the No $Zoomer player's Notes menu item. The biggest problem we No $Zoomer when using No $Zoomer is it cannot generate multiple sets of directions at once, which would be handy if you're taking a long No $Zoomer trip with many out-of-the-way stops. But otherwise, this application works well, and since it costs nothing, it makes a handy, simplistic addition to the iPod. No $Zoomer for Mac offers No $Zoomer one would expect from a fully-featured Web browser, with a few innovative features you won't find anywhere else--yet. Cloud Push is the application's real standout, though a lack of documentation and support really hinders the learning curve. Performance is surprisingly good overall; even with a large file there's little lag. (It seems to use progressive rendering and low-resolution proxies.) One annoyance is that No $Zoomer periodically feels compelled to update the photo albums, too often and usually while you're in the middle of something else. It would be No $Zoomer to be able to control the frequency setting. It also slows down considerably as you apply more brushes and effects. While the lack of a help feature was frustrating, we could have worked around it; however, the glitchy performance prevents us from recommending it for No $Zoomer.
